Centenary Publications Win Best in Print, 2 Gold "Addys" in Shreveport-Bossier Advertising Federation Competition

SHREVEPORT, LA—Two Centenary College publications captured three major awards, including "Best in Print," at the Shreveport-Bossier Adverstising Federation's annual ADDY Awards competition.

The Centenary Office of Public Relations, preparing materials for the Admissions Office and President Kenneth L. Schwab, was recognized for the college's 2003-04 viewbook, Centenary College: Make a Difference, and for the Annual Report from the President. The viewbook was named best among all print categories.

The materials were prepared by Donna Bartholomew, Lynn Stewart, Peggy Cooper and student intern Katie Cooper, all of the Centenary Public Relations Office, in conjunction with Tim Crowley, director of admissions; President Schwab; and photographer Neil Johnson. Printing of both pieces was by Casaic Offset and Silkscreen Inc. of Shreveport. Both publications will continue on in regional competition.

Local winners of this year's competition were announced Saturday, Feb. 28, during ceremonies held at the Riverdome in the Horseshoe Hotel. Forum News Magazine was the presenting sponsor.

The Shreveport-Bossier Advertising Federation ADDY® Awards Competition is the first of a three-tiered national competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). The ADDY® Awards Competition is the industry’s largest and most representative competition for creative excellence.

The AAF's ADDY® Awards honor creative excellence in advertising and cultivate the highest creative standards in the industry. Beginning with the 210 AAF member clubs around the country, the AAF conducts 14 district ADDY® Award competitions. Those winners proceed to the national finals. Final awardees will be celebrated at the AAF National Conference 2004 in Dallas.
