Songwriter's Showcase, a Free Public Concert, Set for 7 p.m. Monday, May 31 in Centenary Band Shell

SHREVEPORT, LA — A variety of original music — from rock 'n roll to country — will be on the program at 7 p.m. Monday, May 31 at Centenary College's Hargrove Memorial Amphitheatre.

The Memorial Day Songwriter's Showcase is an outdoor concert presented by the students in Dr. Ross Smith's May Module songwriting class. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available free of charge and concertgoers are invited to bring seat cushions, lawn chairs and their own refreshments or picnics.

The amphitheatre, also known as the Band Shell, is located in the center of the Centenary campus at 2911 Centenary Boulevard. If it rains, the concert will take place in Anderson Auditorium located in the Hurley Music Building.
