Centenary Chemistry Club Earns 8th Consecutive National Award; Top 8% in Nation

SHREVEPORT, LA — The Centenary College Chemistry Club has been awarded a commendable citation from the American Chemical Society based on the number and diversity of its activities.

This recognition places the club in the top eight percent in the nation and marks the eighth consecutive national award won by the organization.

Officers during the award period were Christina Taylor, president; Laurie Stevison, vice president; Ashley Lacy, secretary; and Jaymi Ward, treasurer. Dr. Tom Ticich of the Chemistry Department serves as the faculty adviser.

An award plaque will be presented to the organization during the National American Chemical Society meeting in San Diego next March.
