Chris Redford from KTBS-TV Channel 3 presented live reports
for his station's 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts. He had hoped to interview
incoming Dillard students, who left New Orleans at 1:30 p.m. and hoped
to arrive by 8:30 p.m. Instead, the normal five-and-a-half- to six-hour
drive took them 16 hours due to extremely heavy traffic. The Dillard
group would arrive at 5 a.m. |
