Monks Create Sand Mandala at Meadows Museum of Art; Colorful Mandala to be Swept Away at Noon April 8

SHREVEPORT, LA — The Tibetan Buddhist Monks from the Drepung Loseling Monastery in Southern India are creating a sand mandala in the downstairs gallery of Centenary College's Meadows Museum of Art. The mandala will be comleted by Friday
morning, April 8, and will be swept up at noon, at which time an Interfaith Prayer ceremony will be held in a tent positioned beside the Meadows.

The Meadows Museum of Art will be open until 7 p.m. on Thursday evening, April 7, to allow individuals from the community and campus to view the mandala.
