Snapshots of Orientation: Weekend Events

SHREVEPORT, LA —This weekend was full of fun activities for first-year and returning students from Tough Talk and Student Organization Fair to Orientation Worship Service and Back to School Bash.

Off-Campus Lunch: Centenary students enjoying a Saturday lunch in downtown Shreveport at the Blind Tiger are Orientation leader Barrett McGee of Alexandria, La.; Morgana Broussard of Abbeville, La.; Stephanie Henson of Jefferson, Texas; Ashley Martin of Shreveport; and Orientation Leader Leeann Rossi of Shreveport. They were hosted by the Centenary Public Relations Office. New students were treated to luncheons in local restaurants and in the homes of Centenary faculty and staff as part of the 2005 Orientation and welcoming activities.

Orientation Worship Service: Nearly 100 students, faculty and staff gathered to worship in Brown Chapel on Sunday, Aug. 21 at 6 p.m.

 




Orientation Worship Service: Stepping Stones Leadership Team led the music and Chaplain Betsy Eaves spoke on navigating through the unpredictable waters of college life.

 

Orientation Worship Service: The chapel resounded with music from guitars, mandolin, piano and many voices.
