Daniel and Pearson Join Development Staff at Centenary College


Virginia "Ginny" Daniel, Director of Planned Giving

SHREVEPORT, LA — Virginia Daniel of Akron, Ohio, and Jennifer Pearson of Shreveport, La., join the development staff at Centenary College this month. Daniel is the new director of planned giving and Pearson is the new director of capital gifts.

Ms. Daniel was previously assistant director of planned giving at the University of Akron, a position she held for six years. She earned a bachelor's degree from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla., and a master's from New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Mass. She has served as a music director and organist in the United Methodist Church, and as a database and publications specialist, researcher and public relations manager at the University of Akron.


Jennifer Pearson, Director of Capital Gifts

Ms. Pearson was graduated from Centenary summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in geology and environmental studies. While at Centenary, she was a member of Alpha Chi honors fraternity, Honor Court and Maroon Jackets. She obtained her law degree from Boston College Law School, where she was a member of Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity and the Environmental Law Society.

Before joining Centenary’s administrative staff, Ms. Pearson served as an intern for the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe’s Environmental Protection Department in South Dakota and as a law clerk for Judge Thomas May of the Dorchester District Court in Massachusetts. She also practiced law at firms in Shreveport and Washington, D.C. She is a notary public and a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar Association and the Shreveport Bar Association.
