Enrollment Period Extended to Sept. 6 at Centenary College to Help Students Displaced by Hurricane Katrina

Advisory concerning the dilemma faced by college students displaced by Hurricane Katrina
Issued by Dr. Kenneth L. Schwab, President, Centenary College of Louisiana

Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005

"We have been asked to seek ways to accommodate college students whose campuses have been affected by Hurricane Katrina. We have had several inquiries from students and parents regarding potential enrollment at Centenary.

"In order to make classes available to displaced students until they can return to their home institutions, Centenary will extend its fall enrollment period until noon Tuesday, Sept. 6. The Office of Admissions at 318-869-5131 is available to work with eligible students who wish to enroll.

"The Centenary faculty and staff will extend all possible assistance to students and families as our state struggles with the catastrophic effects of Hurricane Katrina."

Ken Schwab
President
Centenary College of Louisiana
