First-year Students Take Part in Service Learning Activity during Orientation Weekend at Centenary College

SHREVEPORT, LA — True to Centenary College's mission, Orientation organizers this year provided an introductory activity in civic responsibility. First-year students boarded buses on campus and each traveled to one of seven community agencies to assist with their projects on Saturday, Aug 20.

The agencies were Shreveport Regional Arts Council, ArtSpace, Red River Revel, Renzi Arts and Education Center, Providence House, Philadelphia Center and the Food Bank of North Louisiana.

See news coverage in The (Shreveport) Times, including a photo of Centenary students performing service projects, at http://www.shreveporttimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050823/NEWS04/508230311/1060/NEWS01
