Volunteers, Sale Items Needed for Centenary College's Benefit Rummage Sale to Benefit Tsunami Survivors

SHREVEPORT, LA — Students at Centenary College are rallying to raise funds for tsunami relief through a benefit rummage sale to be held on Saturday, Feb. 26, from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Centenary Fitness Center.

This event was initiated by Centenary’s Chaplain’s Office and will be organized by various campus organizations and individual students. Volunteers are needed to help sort and price items, set up for the event, work at the rummage sale and hang up flyers around the Shreveport/Bossier community.

Donations of small to medium size may be delivered to the Chaplain’s Office in Smith 205 on weekdays from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Large items should be delivered any time on Friday, Feb. 25, due to space constraints.

All faculty, staff and students are encouraged to help in this charitable event. All proceeds will go to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).
