SHREVEPORT, LA — Singing Valentines — barber shop and beauty shop quartet style — are being offered by Centenary College students working to raise funds for St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

"Local residents can send their sweethearts and loved ones a special musical surprise — and help a good cause — in the days leading up to Valentine's Day," said Connie Brennan of Centenary's Office of Student Life.

For a $50 donation, one of three student quartets is available to sing "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" and other songs from the heart. The quartets can be engaged for songs on Saturday, Feb. 12, and on Valentine's Day, Monday, Feb. 14.

"I am so excited about this event....It is amazing to know that everyone's heart is in the right place for Valentine's Day this year," said student Taylor Leigh Robertson.
