Centenary's Meredith Foster to Perform Senior Flute Recital Jan. 29 in Anderson Auditorium

SHREVEPORT, LA — Meredith Foster of Centenary College, a flute performance major from Crosby, Texas, will present her senior recital at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29. The performance will be held in Anderson Auditorium of the Hurley School of Music.

She will be performing Fantasia No. 6 in D Minor by Georg Philipp Telemann, Flute Concerto No. 1 in G Major by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Syrinx by Claude Debussy and Sonata for Flute and Piano in D Major by Sergei Prokofiev. Cathy DeRousse will be the piano accompanist.

Ms. Foster is a student of Sally Horak, principal flutist for the Shreveport Symphony and adjunct faculty member of the Hurley School of Music. She is pursuing a bachelor of music degree in flute performance.
