Centenary College Chemistry Club Wins 9th Consecutive National Award

SHREVEPORT, LA —The Centenary College Chemistry Club has once again been recognized with a commendable citation from the national American Chemical Society based on the number and diversity of its activities.

The award marks is the ninth consecutive year the organization has garnered a national award, which places it in the top 10 percent of student affiliate organizations nationally.

Officers during the award period, the 2004-05 academic year, were Laurie Stevison, president; Ashley Lacey and Diya Surie, vice presidents; Addie Dickson, secretary; and Jonathan Boyce, treasurer. The current president, Kelly Waterhouse, will accept the award plaque at a ceremony during the national American Chemical Society meeting in Atlanta, Ga., in March.

Dr. Tom Ticich of the Chemistry Department serves as adviser to the club.
