Centenary College to Host Great Pumpkin Run for Cancer Research on Oct. 29

SHREVEPORT, LA— Centenary College will host the ninth annual Sportspectrum Great Pumpkin Run for Research on Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Centenary Gold Dome.

The one-half mile kids run will begin at 8 a.m. with the 5K run and Health Walk beginning at 8:30 a.m. Cash awards will be awarded to the school or organization with the most walkers. This event includes a post party with free food and music, costume contest, face painting, pumpkin carving and informational booths on cancer research.

Race entry forms can be picked up from the front desk of the Centenary Fitness Center. The entry fee is $15. Proceeds from the event will go to the Feist-Weiller Cancer Center at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport.

Volunteers are needed for the event. Those interested in volunteering can find volunteer sign-up sheets at the front desk of the Fitness Center.
