Snapshots of Centenary College of Louisiana's Hurricane Relief Efforts
Friday, Sept. 2, 2005

SHREVEPORT, LA — This afternoon at 2:30 p.m., Centenary students, faculty and staff gathered at James Hall and walked down to the Hancock Fabrics parking lot on East Kings Hwy. to help with a hurricane relief effort coordinated by KTBS Channel 3 News.

Donations dropped off by local residents were piled in the parking lot as Centenary folks lent helping hands to organize and load the items into Tango trucks that would deliver the items to a storage facility for the hurricane survivors.

With a Tango truck already full, the overwhelming amount of donations still waiting to be loaded stands as a testament to the Shreveport-Bossier community's support of and concern for hurricane survivors.
