Centenary College Choir to Present Festival Encore Concert April 23 at First Methodist Shreveport; Free and Open to Public

SHREVEPORT, LA — The Centenary College Choir and First Methodist Church of Shreveport Chancel Choir, accompanied by a full orchestra, will present a Festival Encore concert Sunday, April 23.

The concert will be at First United Methodist Church, Shreveport at 4 p.m.

The Centenary College Choir and full orchestra will present "Andrew Lloyd Webber in Concert," "The Last Words of David" by Randall Thompson, "The Awakening" by Joseph Martin and John Rutter's setting of "Down by the Riverside." They will join with the Chancel Choir for "A Military Salute." The Chancel Choir will also sing a short set of favorite songs with orchestra.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is the last concert of the 64th season of the Centenary College Choir. The concert will be directed by Dr. Will K. Andress.
