Regents to Complete Funding for 3 New Endowed Professorships at Centenary College

WHO: Louisiana Board of Regents and Commissioner of Higher Education E. Joseph Savoie

WHAT: Announcing completion of three new endowed professorships (funded at a total of $300,000 dollars) at Centenary College, as well as the completion of other endowments at Southern University-Shreveport, LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport and LSU in Shreveport (60% of funds raised by the institutions, 40% matched by the State of Louisiana). This year’s matching funds for Centenary will complete the following endowed professorships:
George D. Nelson, Sr., Endowed Professorship
A.C. “Cheesy” Voran Choir Director Endowed Professorship #3
A.C. “Cheesy” Voran Choir Director Endowed Professorship #4

WHEN: Tuesday, August 29, 2006, at 3 p.m.

WHERE: Southern University in Shreveport
