FROM THE SUGGESTION BOX

* CONSIDER ENCOURAGING GRADUATING SENIORS to make a small financial contribution to Centenary. For example, the Communication Department has established a Communication Scholarship Fund to which seniors majoring in communication will contribute just a few dollars each. Other departments should consider setting up similar funds representing their respective departments.

* THE OFFICE OF ALUMNI RELATIONS INVITES ALL FACULTY AND STAFF to attend any alumni-related event. Check out the Alumni Events Calendar at http://www.centenary.edu/alumni/events.

* HUMAN RESOURCES WELCOMES COMMENTS/IDEAS WITH ONLINE SUGGESTION BOX at
http://www.centenary.edu/hr/suggestions. Comments may be submitted anonymously or with contact information for addition to meeting agendas.

* DON'T BE LEFT OUT! ADD YOUR CENTENARY NEWS AND EVENTS by submitting an event at http://www.centenary.edu/calendar/. You'll fill out a simple form that will alert the Office of Public Relations to add your event to the calendar and/or write a news release to send out to media for coverage.

* "THE PEACE CORPS IS 'THE TOUGHEST JOB YOU'LL EVER LOVE'" says Centenary alumnus Travis Leger '02. He and wife Rebekah '02 have been blogging about their experiences in the Peace Corps for about a year now (http://legersabroad.blogspot.com). The Office of Public Relations is interested to know about other alumni and members of the Centenary family who may have served or are serving in the Peace Corps. We are compiling stories for a mini-feature in the next issue of Centenary Magazine. Contact Kelsey Johnson at kajohnson@centenary.edu with any inside scoops.
