Centenary College to Dedicate New Entrance
To W. Peyton Shehee, Jr. Baseball Stadium on March 25

New entrance to the William Peyton Shehee, Jr. Baseball Stadium will be celebrated in ceremonies at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at Centenary College of Louisiana.

SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary College will dedicate its new entrance to the W. Peyton Shehee, Jr. Baseball Stadium and honor the late Mr. Shehee and his family during ceremonies at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at the stadium.

The college will also unveil a plaque commemorating the entire complex.

Following the festivities, attendees will be able to cheer on the Gents as they meet North Dakota State.

The stadium was initially dedicated by the Centenary Board of Trustees on Feb. 15, 2001. Due to a rain storm, Centenary produced its first-ever "virtual dedication," using animation, photographs and a Powerpoint presentation in the then-new Carlile Auditorium.

"The March 25th event offers a second chance to celebrate this wonderful addition to our athletic complex," said Centenary President Kenneth L. Schwab.

Members of the late Mr. Shehee's family to be honored at the event and on the plaque are his wife, Dr. Virginia Kilpatrick Shehee; son, Andrew Shehee; and daughters, Margaret, Nell and Shane Shehee.
