SHREVEPORT, LA — The Centenary College Wind Ensemble, under the baton of Dr. Thomas Stone, will present its Autumn Concert at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16.

The performance, in Anderson Auditorium in the Hurley Music Building, is free and open to the public.

Featured on the concert will be Centenary College Chemistry Professor Dr. Tom Ticich, as accordion soloist. Dr. Ticich will showcase his virtuosity on Herbert L. Clarke’s Carnival of Venice, Gade’s classic Jalousie and Agreu’s Tico Tico.

The Wind Ensemble will open the concert with Ganne’s 19th-century march, Father of Victory, followed by Old Churches, a new composition from the pen of Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Colgrass. Other works include Persichetti’s Pageant, Frank Ticheli’s setting of Shenandoah, Darius Milhaud’s Suite Française and Clark McAlister’s arrangement of music from Bizet’s Carmen.
