FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (10/06) Centenary Hosts Oct. 7 'Experience Centenary' Open House for Prospective Students and Families
The Oct. 7 schedule is as follows: 9-9:30 a.m.—Registration and refreshments in Kilpatrick Auditorium (Smith Building) 9:30 a.m.—Welcome by Dr. Darrel Colson, provost and dean of the college; Georgette Lang, president of the Student Government Association; and Tim Crowley, director of admissions. 10:15 a.m.—Concurrent sessions in which participants attend either "Distinctive Experiences" in the Carruth Choir Room or "Superior Preparation" in the Broyles Choral Room, both in the Anderson Choral Building. 10:50 a.m.—Concurrent sessions in which participants attend either "Distinctive Experiences" in the Carruth Choir Room or "Superior Preparation" in the Broyles Choral Room, both in the Anderson Choral Building. 11:30 a.m.—Meet professors and students at the Academic Department/Program and Student Organizations Fair in the Haynes Gymnasium of the Centenary Fitness Center Noon—Lunch in Bynum Commons Dining Hall 12:45 p.m.—Student panels in Jackson Hall Room 304 and the Admissions Office (Peters Building) 1:30 p.m.—Campus tours 2:10 p.m.—Admission and Financial Aid session in Kilpatrick Auditorium (Smith Building) with Mary Sue Rix, director of financial aid, and Tim Crowley, director of admissions Other events of interest on Oct. 7: Noon-3 p.m.—Centenary College Store open in the Moore Student Union Building Noon-11 p.m.—Shreveport's Red River Revel Festival on the Shreveport riverfront at Festival Plaza 1-4 p.m.—Exhibits at Meadows Museum of Art on the Centenary campus 3 p.m.—Men's Soccer vs. UMKC, Mayo Field 4 p.m.—Film Screening: "Burning Man: Beyond Black Rock" documentary at 4 p.m. in Kilpatrick Auditorium.
