SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary College will participate for a third time in the Highland Mardi Gras Parade on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. The Centenary Alumni Association and the college will open Jones-Rice Field for community members to congregate and watch the parade, which will pass in front of the campus. The field is located on Centenary Boulevard just north of the main entrance to the Centenary campus.

The area will be designated as a "family zone" with free hot dogs in an alcohol-free environment. Viewing bleachers will be set up along the edge of the field. Members of the community are invited to the family zone from 1—4 pm.

Centenary will also have a float in the parade. Centenary faculty, staff, students and alumni will join in the day's activities. Limited spaces are still available for riders and walkers.

For more information or to sign up to participate, contact Carla E. Alsandor, director of alumni programs, at 318-869-5028 or email.
