SHREVEPORT, LA — Rock-folk-blues musician and Louisiana native Marc Broussard comes to Shreveport Friday, April 13 to perform a one-night concert at Centenary College's Gold Dome.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and Broussard performs at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at the door or in advance at centenarytickets.com or 318-869-5117. Admission costs $15 for the general public or $10 for those with a Centenary ID.

A local favorite, Broussard hails from Carencro, La., a small town near Lafayette. The 22-year-old musician is acclaimed for his unique musical insights that project him far beyond his years. Broussard describes his style as eclectic and cites influences ranging from Stevie Wonder to Johnny Allan to Dave Matthews. He is currently touring throughout the United States. Broussard was also a favorite when he was featured at the Red River Revel and Arts Festival in 2005.

The concert is presented by Fighting Squirrel Productions, a Centenary College student organization that raises money with the purpose of bringing well-known performers to Centenary's campus. Previous years' performers include Hal Sparks and Better than Ezra.

Barrett McGee, president of FSP, said, "Fighting Squirrel Productions is really excited about Marc Broussard. With his unique and eclectic style, Marc is definitely on the way up and will make our concert a great success."

The concert will be one of many events featured during Centenary College's Preview Weekend for prospective students.
