21st Annual Book Bazaar in Centenary Gold Dome Sept. 7-8

SHREVEPORT, LA — Boasting over 60,000 paperback and hardbacks books for sale as well as audio and visual materials, the 21st Annual Centenary Book Bazaar will be the largest yet. Doors at the Gold Dome will remain open from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, September 7, and again from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 8. Admission is free and book prices start at 25 cents.

Corporate sponsor is Boyett Printing and Trophies.

The Book Bazaar features books sorted into more than 30 categories including fiction, science fiction, religion, history, children's books. Music is available in various media: CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, cassettes, LPs. While most items are priced under $2, unique books are also reserved for bid auction. On Saturday, all items are half-priced after 1 p.m.

The Centenary Muses are women committed to philanthropic support of Centenary College students, using all the proceeds from the annual Book Bazaar to fund campus projects not included in the regular college budget.

The Muses accept book donations throughout the year at the Book House at 108 East Kings Highway in Centenary Square (across from George's Grill). The Book House is staffed on Monday and Wednesday; covered bins are available for donations at other times.
