Shreveport, LA — On Constitution Day, Centenary will welcome Lee Epstein for a lecture on constitutional interpretation by the current U. S. Supreme Court. The lecture, held in Marjorie Lyons Playhouse on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 7 pm, is free and open to the public.

On faculty at Northwestern University, Professor Epstein is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. She has authored, co-authored, and edited fourteen books, three of which have all been required reading in law-related courses at Centenary College. Her visit is held in celebration of Constitution Day, which was founded by Louise Leigh in 1997 to promote Americans' awareness of the United States Constitution as a truly unique government document.

Professor Epstein's visit is sponsored by Centenary's chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society, as well as the Office of the Provost and the Convocations Committee.
