Ladies and Gents to Reveal Winning Mascot

SHREVEPORT, La.—The votes are in, tabulated and a clear winner has emerged. Centenary College students, faculty, staff and alumni have made their selection for the additional mascot that will compliment the "Ladies and Gents."

More than 1,400 people voted online for their favorite of five different mascot choices. Options included: "The Explorers, Fire Ants, Squirrels, Catahoulas or Mud Cats." And the winner is...

The announcement of the new mascot will take place here Thursday, December 6 at the Gold Dome during halftime of the men's basketball game against Summit League rival, South Dakota State. The game begins at 7 p.m.
