Centenary Musical Theater Group Presents Fourth Annual Review February 16

Shreveport, La.—The recently chartered Centenary Musical Theater Group presents the fourth annual review entitled "Lovin' Ain't Easy" Saturday, February 16 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Hurley School of Music's Anderson Auditorium.

The auditioned ensemble of more than 30 Centenary students will present songs from a variety of Broadway musicals including Hairspray, Chicago, Spring Awakening, and Avenue Q and will be accompanied by Michael Rafferty on guitar, Kirk Reedstrom on bass, Ruben Reyes on piano, and alumnus Jeremey DelaCerda '06 on drums.

The Musical Theater Group is a student-lead organization unofficially formed in the spring of 2005 by Centenary Alumna Amy Williams '06. Members of the Board of Directors include Co-Musical Directors Adam Philley and Missy Wise, Co-Choreographers Amanda Geneux and Marcus Jauregui, and Artistic Director Jenni Loer.

"The spring review is always one of the highlights of the semester," said Adam Philley, "I have been lucky enough to watch it grow from the very beginning. Receiving a charter from the Student Government Association means this group will be around for years to come."

The production is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Hurley School of Music at 318.869.5235 or e-mail email.
