Student Newspaper Now Available Online

SHREVEPORT, La. — The Conglomerate is now online!

Centenary's student-run newspaper, The Conglomerate, can now be found online at www.theccconglomerate.com.

The Conglomerate officially launched its Web site with the help of the College Publisher Network, which runs more than 500 college newspaper sites throughout the country. The site is part of a syndicated national news feed run by College Publisher that lets students throughout the nation access articles written by the Conglomerate staff.

The newspaper follows KSCL in moving online. The college's radio station (91.3 FM) launched its podcast and blog in August.

The Conglomerate is published every Friday of the semester, excluding holidays and finals week. The paper covers all Centenary College news, events, arts, entertainment and sports and includes local, state, national and international news as well as opinions and editorials.

"We hope this puts the newspaper and the college on the broader state and national map," said Versha Sharma, Conglomerate editor-in-chief. "I'm excited to get The Conglomerate's name out there, but I also have high hopes that Centenary students, faculty, and staff will put the site to good use. It's much more interactive than our print edition and allows for immediate feedback."

Visit the website - it contains all articles published in the print issue and allows any visitor to leave comments. There are also links to share articles via Facebook and Digg, as well as a message board, a classifieds section, and information about staff members. This is an opportunity for the Centenary community to interact in a free and public forum in an unfettered way - we want you to take advantage of it!
