Dr. Peter Huff, T. L. James Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Centenary and author of What Are They Saying About Fundamentalisms? is scheduled to speak on "The Muslim-Christian Encounter: Past, Present, and Future."

Friday, February 29, 7:30 — 9 p.m.
Dr. Osvaldo Vena, Associate Professor of New Testament at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, is scheduled to perform his "peace concert" accompanied by Centenary student-musicians. Proceeds from the concert and CD sales will benefit children's education in at-risk areas of the world.

Saturday, March 1, 8:30 a.m. — 1 p.m.
Several workshop are scheduled to take place including "Women in Islam and Christianity," "Why I Became Muslim," and "Science and the Qu'ran." These workshops are designed to increase understanding between the two faith groups. A panel discussion, "What do Christians need to know about Islam; What do Muslims need to know about Christianity?" comprised of community Muslim and Christian leaders will also take place, and close with a community lunch.

The cost of the event is $25 for all three days. Individual day registrations are $10 each for Thursday and Friday and $15 for Saturday. Students who present a valid student id receive free admission for Thursday and Friday and will be admitted for $5 on Saturday.
