SHREVEPORT, La. — Centenary College of Louisiana and United Methodist Churches of the Shreveport District will host an Easter Sunrise Service beginning at 6:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday, March 23 at Centenary's Hargrove Memorial Amphitheater, also known as the "Band Shell." In case of inclement weather, the service will take place in Brown Chapel.

Join us for worship on Easter Sunday when The Centenary College Choir will be joined by area youth choirs under the direction of Centenary College Choir Director Emeritus, Dr. Will K. Andress, longtime director of the Centenary College Choir, who retired in 2007 after 33 years at the College.

The service will conclude by 7:30 a.m. allowing participants to return to their churches for Easter Sunday services. Hot cross buns will be served following the service as well.

There are few more beautiful settings for an Easter Sunrise Service than the gardens of Centenary College! Please contact the Office of Church Relations at 318.869.5108 or email for more information or if your church would like to co-sponsor this community worship experience on the Sunday of Sundays.
