Final Book Drop Takes Place August 11 for Centenary's 22nd Annual Book Bazaar

22nd Annual Book Bazaar

SHREVEPORT, La.—The final book drop for the annual Centenary Book Bazaar will take place Monday, August 11 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Centenary College Book House, located in the Centenary Square across from George's Grill, 108 East Kings Highway.

The Bazaar, now in its 22nd year, is sponsored by the Centenary Muses with proceeds used to fund projects and programs for Centenary students. This year's bazaar will take place September 5 and 6 in the Haynes Fitness Center.

During the final book drop, volunteers will be on hand to help unload donations of gently used books, compact disks, videotapes, DVDs, records and cassettes. Receipts will also be issued to those donors requesting them.

A Centenary staple for years, the bazaar has raised about $50,000 each of the past two years and has helped pay for items such as computers, rocking chairs for residence hall porches, and athletic equipment. "The money helps to pay for items that are beyond the College's budget," said Zoe Ramsey, Book Bazaar chairwoman.

For more information, contact the Book House at 318.219.3409 or David Williams at 318.869.5162.
