Meadows Museum Presents "Works on Paper" Sunday Sept. 21

SHREVEPORT, La.Works on Paper from the Mississippi Museum of Art takes place Sunday, Sept. 21, at the Meadows Museum of Art at Centenary College from 2 until 4 p.m. in the Museum gallery.

Dan Piersol, Deputy Director for Programs at the Mississippi Museum of Art in Jackson, Miss., will present the gallery talk and identification session for the works on paper. Recognized as an expert on works on paper, Piersol is the former Curator for Prints and Drawings at the New Orleans Museum of Art.

The Gallery Talk, "The Permanent Collection at the Jackson Museum of Art" begins at 1 p.m. followed by "Works on Paper" identification session at 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, and made possible through a generous grant from the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities.

The Meadows Museum of Art is located on the beautiful campus of Centenary College of LA at 2911 Centenary Boulevard in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Museum is open to the general public from noon until 4 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; from noon until 5 pm on Thursday; from 1 to 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
