Hurley School of Music Presents Winter Recital, Concert

SHREVEPORT, La. — The Hurley School of Music at Centenary College will present two musical events in January in the Anderson Auditorium. The events are free and open to the public.

Tuesday, Jan. 13
English/Grosz Faculty Recital
Anderson Auditorium beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Horace English, Professor of Music, and Gay Grosz, Collaborative Artist in Residence, present a recital featuring works by Haydn, Schubert and Schumann, as well as songs from "Pilgrimage" by Carlisle Floyd and selections from "Mystical Songs" by Ralph Vaughn-Williams.

Sunday, Jan. 25
Evangeline Trio Concert
Anderson Auditorium beginning at 3 p.m.

The Evangeline Trio presents a concert of piano trios by Piazzolla, Turina and Beethoven's "Archduke." The trio consists of Jennifer Carsillo on violin; Ruth Drummond on cello; and Gay Grosz on piano.
