Speakers Forum Presents David Joy, Chief Market Strategist March 31

SHREVEPORT, La. — Centenary College and the Frost School of Business Executive MBA Speakers Forum presents guest speaker David Joy, Chief Market Strategist and Chairman of Capital Markets Committee RiverSource Investments, March 31, beginning at 11:15 a.m. in Jackson Hall, room 216. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Joy is chief market strategist and chairman of the Capital Markets Committee for RiverSource Investments, a subsidiary of Ameriprise Financial Inc.

Joy serves as chairman of the RiverSource Investments Capital Markets Committee, which comprises the company's senior investment and economic leadership. As chair, he leads the development of the Capital Markets Outlook and is responsible for spearheading capital markets communications designed for use with retail and institutional clients. He is also a senior portfolio manager of the RiverSource® Portfolio Builder Series, which includes six strategic asset allocation funds.

Joy is a frequent guest on both CNBC and Bloomberg TV and has been widely quoted in various publications including The Wall Street Journal and USA Today.

Joy has 30 years of experience in the investment management industry. Prior to joining RiverSource Investments in 2003, he held senior investment positions at several industry leading firms including Pioneer Investments, Prudential Investments, Massachusetts Financial Services, and State Street Research. Joy is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross. He received his master's of business administration from Boston College's Carroll School of Management.
