Annual Easter Sunrise Service Takes Place April 12 at College Amphitheater
SHREVEPORT, La.—Centenary College's annual Easter Sunrise Service will be held Sunday, April 12 beginning at 6:30 a.m. at the Hargrove Memorial Amphitheater.
The amphitheater is located on the College campus between the Student Union Building and James Hall. Sponsored by the College and the churches of the Shreveport district, community members are invited to the worship service.
During the service, youth choirs from First United Methodist Church of Shreveport and Broadmoor United Methodist Church will join voices with the Centenary College Choir and Choir alumnus. Under the direction of Centenary College Choir Director Emeritus, Dr. Will K. Andress, one half of the Centenary College Choir will lead the mass choir at the amphitheater, while the other half of the Centenary College Choir under the direction of Dr. David Hobson, Director of the Centenary College Choir leads the traditional service at Hodges Gardens State Park at 6:00 a.m. Ginger and Richard Fulmer will present narration to accompany the music.
