Student Art Show Takes Place at Turner Art Gallery April 25

No IDea Required

SHREVEPORT, La. — The Turner Art Gallery will feature No IDea Required, a graduation show by senior Kate Buchanan Saturday, April 25 through Sunday, May 10. The event is free and open to the public.

The exhibition features more than 25 graphic works and is part of Buchanan's graduation requirements as a studio art major.

The title, No IDea Required proves interesting for a very idea driven show. "It all started with a chair and the IDea just blossomed from there," said Buchanan. "Interior design has always been a passion of mine, from designing my bedroom at home to my apartment at school. I wanted to create a 'Celebration of colors, textures, and interiors,' and show to the world the art that comes from a combination of all three." Buchanan plans to study interior design after graduation.

An opening reception will be held Saturday, April 25th from 2-4 p.m. in the Turner Arts Gallery. The reception is free and refreshments will be provided. For more information, call the Turner Art Center at 318.869.5260.
