Meadows Museum Presents Fine Arts Show May 8-22
SHREVEPORT, La.— The opening of the Caddo Magnet High Fine Arts Show takes place Friday, May 8 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Meadows Museum of Art at Centenary College of Louisiana. The show is free and open to the public.
The evening kicks off with a performance by the Caddo Magnet Jazz Band under the direction of Joe LeBlanc, with food provided by John Carriere.
The exhibit is a culmination of the 2008-09 school year and includes paintings, drawings, printmaking, mixed media and ceramics. The artwork will be on display at the museum from May 8-22. For additional information call 318.869.5040.
The Meadows Museum of Art is located on the campus of Centenary College at 2911 Centenary Boulevard in Shreveport. The Museum is open to the general public from noon to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; from noon to 5 p.m. on Thursday; from 1- 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The Museum is closed on Monday. The Museum is free of charge to the general public.
