CLC Hosts Graduate Course United Methodism: 20th Century-Present

SHREVEPORT, La.—The Christian Leadership Center, in cooperation with the Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, announces a two-week graduate course for those seeking ordination, certification, growth in ministry and graduate level experience.

United Methodism: 20th Century — Present will be hosted January 11-22, 2010 in Kilpatrick Auditorium. The course covers developments within United Methodism as related to the ecumenical movement, world mission, personal evangelism, and social justice. The course also covers the evolution of polity, theology, and denominational structure.

The course takes place Monday and Friday from 8 a.m. until noon (excluding Martin Luther King Day) and Wednesdays from 1:30 until 3:30 p.m. The class will be a live simulcast-distance learning format. Registration deadline is Friday, November 20. Housing will be available for out-of-town students.
