The March for the Maji Takes Place Oct. 3

SHREVEPORT, La.-The 2nd Annual March for the Maji takes place Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. until noon on the campus of Centenary College.

Hosted by the Centenary Women United Women's Bible study group, the event will raise funds for the non-profit organization, 410 Bridge and their H204K, Water for Kenya program. The word maji is Swahili for water.

The event will consist of teams of individuals and teams of no more than 10 members from various churches, businesses, and schools who will walk around a track. Participants will pay an entrance fee of $10 per team or $5 for individuals in. Teams and individuals can also find sponsors to pledge a dollar amount per lap that teams complete. T-shirts will also be available.
