Centenary Offers Course on Women of the Old Testament

Twelve-week Study Program Starts Monday, Jan. 25 in Kilpatrick Auditorium

SHREVEPORT, La.— The Christian Leadership Center at Centenary College of Louisiana will offer a 12-week study on the women of the Old Testament beginning January 25, 2010.

Dr. Susan Brayford, Associate Professor of Religious Studies, will teach "She Ate, She Laughed, She Danced: The Women of Genesis and Their Daughters" in Kilpatrick Auditorium, located in the Smith Building at Centenary College. All are welcome.

Dr. Susan Brayford is an Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Centenary College of Louisiana and has served for several years as the Associate Academic Dean of the College. Her research centers on the ways in which Biblical writers, translators and interpreters have portrayed women and women's issues. She recently published the first English-language commentary on the Greek translation of Genesis (LXX Commentary Series; Brill, 2007).
