College Radio Station Now Streaming Audio 24/7

Shreveport, LA.— Local college radio station KSCL 91.3 FM "Centenary College Radio" is now streaming online and can be heard world wide at kscl.fm.

The station began streaming live this month, and now listeners anywhere with an internet connection can now log onto kscl.fm and tune in to radio being broadcast live from Centenary College of Louisiana.

KSCL is a non-commercial, education FM radio station programmed and operated by the students of Centenary College. The station is an extension of the Centenary College liberal arts education, where students and faculty work together. The student-run radio station broadcasts from the campus of Centenary College of Louisiana 24-hours a day to the cities of Shreveport, Bossier City, and other surrounding communities.

The station prides itself in being a progressive station dedicated to community events and alternative music, from college rock and jazz to local and regional music. KSCL is a student-run radio station. The DJs are all volunteers, and the governing positions are filled by students.

KSCL was first on the air in 1976 with a total range of two miles. Since then the station has seen numerous upgrades including the 1988 transition to stereo, with the latest upgrade in 2006 when KSCL reached 2,100 watts of transmitting power allowing most of the Shreveport-Bossier area to tune in.
