Fraternity Holds Poker Tournament For Alzheimer's Foundation

SHREVEPORT, La.—The 6th annual Philanthropy Poker Tournament supporting the Ronald and Nancy Reagan Alzheimer's Foundation takes place Saturday, April 17 at Fitness Center on the Centenary College campus.

Advanced tickets can be purchased from TKE members for $10 or $12 the day of the tournament. Doors open at 11 a.m. for lunch with play starting at noon.

Sponsored by the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity at Centenary College, the goal of the event is to raise awareness about the disease that affects nearly 5.3 million people living in the United States, a disease that every 70 seconds someone will develop. Last year, the event pulled in nearly 100 players.
