Wilhite replaces Carla E. Alsandor MBA '04 who is leaving Centenary after more than six years with the Office of Alumni Relations to relocate to The Woodlands, Texas, where she will be closer, and therefore of more help, to her parents. Alsandor has accepted the position of Director of National Events for a breast cancer charity but plans to maintain a connection with her alma mater by serving as an alumni volunteer in the Houston area.

"I am thrilled to have this opportunity at my alma mater," said Wilhite. "I cherished my time at Centenary as a student, and my relationship with this institution has only strengthened over the past three years through my service as a staff member and liaison to my fellow alumni. I am grateful to Carla for preparing me to assume this new role, and feel my enthusiasm and love for the College will serve our alumni well in the years to come."

In her new position, Wilhite will be responsible for managing the National Alumni Association Board, chapter programming, alumni communications, student-alumni relations and Homecoming. She will be the primary contact person at the College for all alumni relations activities.

She is a Shreveport native and graduated from Centenary in 2005 with a B.A. in Professional Writing Communication and a minor in French. She worked in commercial insurance in Shreveport for nearly two years before returning to her alma mater in July 2007 to assume the role of Assistant Director of Alumni Relations.
