Centenary Society Presents Constitution Day Lecture September 14

SHREVEPORT, La. (Centenary News Service) —Centenary College and the Pre-Law Society present a Constitution Day lecture, Tuesday, Sept. 14 beginning at 11 a.m. in the Kilpatrick Auditorium located on the College campus. The event is part of a series of academic convocations and related events.

Henry C. Walker, a prominent criminal law attorney (retired) from Shreveport will be the guest speaker.

A 1968 graduate of the Tulane Law School, Walker retired after 40 years in the practice of civil rights and criminal defense law. A frequent speaker on constitutional law issues, He continues to work pro bono with the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Right To Counsel Committee of the Louisiana Bar Association, the Domestic Violence Section of the Louisiana Bar Foundation, The Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and locally with Volunteers for Youth Justice.

The event is free and open to the public.
