Neuroscience Society presents Brown Bag Lunch series

SHREVEPORT, La. (Centenary News Service) — Ever wonder why people are susceptible to illusions and slight-of-hand? Or why people pre-judge others and experiences? And why do consumers make the purchases they do?

Find out the answers to these questions and other intriguing issues when the Centenary College Neuroscience Society presents the Brown Bag Series discussions. Each discussion will be held in the Whited Room of Bynum Commons from 11:15 a.m. until noon.

Thursday, Sept. 23
Magic, Mentalism and Attention with Dr. Barrie Richardson
Magician and Professor Emeriti of Economics, Dr. Richardson has more than 50 years of professional experience entertaining audiences and is the 1999 recipient of the Psychic Entertainers Association award for creativity. Richardson may be one of magic's most soft spoken thinkers, but has contributed a great deal to the art of magic an Mentalism. With the 1990 release of "Theater of the Mind," he became instantly synonymous with great Mentalism. The release of his second book "Act II" continued his legacy.
