Weather Warning Information

Due to approaching inclement weather and hazardous traveling conditions Centenary College will be CLOSED and all classes CANCELED for Wednesday, February 9. Continue to check the website for updates.

The Center for Family Owned Business breakfast and Workshop as of this time will proceed as scheduled. If you are planning to attend you are cautioned to exercise extreme caution while driving and not take any unnecessary risks to attend event.

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from Wednesday morning through Wednesday afternoon. Snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches will be possible with minor sleet accumulations also possible. Everyone is urged to remain vigilant to changing weather and travel conditions. Travel may become hazardous Wednesday and into the evening hours. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities... And use caution while driving if you must be on the roads.

SHREVEPORT, La. (Centenary News Service) — The Shreveport-Bossier community is under a WINTER STORM WARNING issued by the National Weather Service. A Winter Storm Warning for sleet and snow remains in effect from Wednesday morning through Wednesday afternoon. Snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches will be possible with minor sleet accumulations also possible. This situation is being closely monitored by College officials.

The College is aware of other institutional closures in the area. At the same time, the College is also mindful of the impact of the recent weather-related closures on our class schedules.

The College will consider the best available information early on Wednesday morning and make any announcement about cancellations and closures by 5 AM Wednesday. Any information will be distributed by e-mail as well as posted to the website. In event of closure and/or cancelations, local television and radio stations will be notified.

Everyone is urged to remain vigilant to changing driving conditions if and as the winter weather approaches. Please use appropriate caution and monitor the weather.
