Written by Alan Ball, the award winning screenwriter of American Beauty, Six Feet Under, and True Blood, this incredibly witty and surprisingly moving comedy follows five women as they attempt to endure the social and emotional rollercoaster of an over-the-top, bourgeois southern wedding. Sequestered in the bedroom of the bride's sister, these women vainly attempt to escape the gauntlet of awkward encounters with crazy family members, ex-boyfriends, and a pill-popping mother of the bride.

The motley crew of bridesmaids consists of Frances (Sandy Rather), a bright-eyed, ultra-conservative Christian girl; Meredith (Emma Foreman), the youthful, rebellious sister of the bride; Trisha (Chelsea David), a seemingly untamable cougar who gets any man she wants and leaves them just as fast; an unhappily married romantic named Georgeanne (Maddison Gilcrease) who's prowling to reignite an old flame; and Mindy (Colleen Watts), the openly gay black sheep of the family with a laundry list of neuroses. Rounding out the cast is the play's lone hope for male redemption in the good hearted usher, Tripp (Marion Paton).

Tickets can be reserved by leaving a message on the box office voicemail at 318.869.5242.
