"We are excited and honored to welcome Andy Crouch to our campus," said Maegan Daigle, Assistant Director of Christian Leadership. "He is a dynamic speaker who, through the use of art and creativity, gracefully challenges and empowers people of faith to respond to, create, and cultivate culture in our society."

Crouch is the author of Culture Making: Recovering Our Creative Calling, winner of Christianity Today's 2009 Book Award for Christianity and Culture. Crouch is also executive producer of This Is Our City, a multi-year project featuring documentary video, reporting, and essays about Christians seeking the flourishing of their cities, for Christianity Today International.

His writing has appeared in The Wall Street Journal as well as in several editions of Best Christian Writing and Best Spiritual Writing. Crouch studied classics at Cornell University and received a Master of Divinity from Boston University. A classically trained musician and worship leader, he has led musical worship for congregations of 5 to 20,000. He lives with his family in Swarthmore, PA.

The "Everyday Excellence" weekend seminar will conclude a host of CLC events. The 6th Annual CLC Fundraising Dinner will be held Thursday, March 22, in the Fitness Center. Bishop William Hutchinson will address the current state of the church as he prepares to retire from the episcopacy in August 2012.

The CLC is a faith-based program committed to offering educational opportunities at the intersection of faith and intellect for the Shreveport-Bossier and Centenary community. The CLC also promotes local, regional, and international mission trips that are grounded in biblical study and integrated with theological discussion and reflection.
