Student models work runway for Land that Job Fashion Show

SHREVEPORT, LA — Students modeled interview-appropriate clothing for their peers in Kilpatrick Auditorium on Tuesday night, March 7, as part of the Land that Job Fashion Show. A few of the models also provided humorous examples of what not to wear.

"The fashion show was such a fun event that it was hard to tell who was having a better time—the attendees or the models," said Ashlie Daigle, director of student involvement.

Melva Turner-Wiliams, associate dean of the College, played host and provided commentary as each model took the stage. Once the models completed their show, viewers were given a chance to vote on the fiercest runway model. The winner of the competition and SGA President Drew Burnham was awarded a $50 Visa gift card.

Modeling alongside Burnham were Ayo Kuyo, John Reeks, Josh Atkins, Ben Donaldson, Michael Reeks, Michael Schwandt, Kayla Clemons, Lindsey Walker, Isadora Bickham, Kayla Klaus, Kendall Hughes, and Jordan Fell.

Attendees were provided with interview appearance and attire tip sheets for men and women as well as swag bags to take home.

Donations for Providence House were accepted at the door.

The event was hosted by the offices of Student Involvement and Career Services. Sponsors and clothing providers included collegelifestyles.org, Dillard's, Zoe's Boutique, and Heart and Soul.
