"I had a wonderful time with my donor," said senior Jenna Squyres, recipient of the John F. Bookout Scholarship, Class of '41 Scholarship, and the Wile Scholarship. "These are such fantastic people and we are so lucky to have them support us. Getting the chance to hear from my donor about his love for Centenary and being given the opportunity to thank him personally was a once-in-a-lifetime experience."

Scott Rawles, vice president of advancement, provided the welcome and introductions. President David Rowe gave opening remarks followed by the blessing and a performance from the Centenary Choir. Guest speakers included Stephen Schurman '81, supporter of the George Schurman First Generation Scholarship, and Schurman scholarship recipient Keaton Roberson.

"I am deeply appreciative of Miss Gladney's contribution to my education," said senior Corey Davis, recipient of the James Frank Gladney, Sr., and Jemmie Nelson Gladney Memorial Endowed Scholarship. "I would not be able to attend Centenary without her support and the help of all those who are generous enough to help out all of the students attending the College. I am inspired by my benefactor to donate to Centenary myself in the future."
